Festival Castle Weitra 

Peter Hofbauer is the artistic director of the festival at the castle of Weitra. He is the manager of the Metropol, one of Vienna's leading cultural venues, he is husband of the Austrian TV celebrity Vera Russwurm and a leading entertainment professional. Hofbauer has filled in the magnificent ambience of the castle courtyard with comedy, theatre spirit and gorgeous entertainment!

Beer Festival (Bierkirtag) 

Once a year Weitra, the oldest brewing town of Austria, celebrates its hearty, traditional and original festival which is all about Weitra’s beer specialties. In the cozy beer gardens local landlords proffer special beers and especially brewed to honor the day.

Christmas market 

The large exhibition of locally produced arts and crafts, workshops in which you can look the artists over their shoulder, local delicacies and contemplative, idyllic scenes of the old streets in the weeks before Christmas, the decorated old town and the wonderful castle make up are an unforgettable experience for every visitor.
