Right on the main square of Weitra you find the Mr. Waschka's inn and hotel. Guests and residents of Weitra here enjoy his always fresh roast pork with the original regional potato dumplings “Waldviertler Knödel”. It is a must to taste them! Right on the spot, the beer specialty ”Libellenbräu” (could be translated as “dragonfly beer”, because the name Waschka comes from Czech, where it means “dragonfly”) is produced. Its taste is delicious but hard to describe, so just taste it!
