This path leads to the Weitras artisan workshops. Immerse yourself in tradition, art, and craftsmanship.

Your tour begins at City Hall. From there, walk straight ahead toward the Rathskeller. “WaLaLa”—the Waldviertel Country Store—is your first stop. On the Obere Zeile side of Town Hall Square, you’ll find Kartusch, a company that crafts elegant jewelry from Waldviertel granite. The next stop is inside Town Hall. Behind the right-hand entrance, you’ll find Edition Elfi Weber, which offers advice and sells gemstones and healing stones. If you walk along the Untere Zeile, you’ll reach Lange Gasse via Fleischgasse. There you’ll find the next stop: the Fiedler button factory.

Now walk along Lange Gasse toward Dr.-Kordik-Platz, stroll through Untere Landstraße and through the Untere Tor, then follow the steps down to the left until you reach the Ruß lead crystal cutting workshop. Now head back along the same route to the Unteres Tor and continue straight ahead along the promenade below the city wall to Kirchenplatz. Across from the Stadtpfarrkirche, you’ll find the Helene Jäger company. Continue your tour by following Kirchengasse back up to Rathausplatz. Your next stop, the “Kristallg’wölb” crystal shop run by the Weber company, is located in the picturesque Sgraffitohaus. The Trachtenstube, with its dirndl-decorated storefront windows by Elfi Maisetschläger, is housed in the very next historic building—your final stop.
